Grand Opening Meeting of Association of Textile Engineers, Bangladesh (ATEB)

Textile Engineers Association of Bangladesh is an organization for Govt Textile Engineering Colleges since 2017. On 26 February 2021, ATEB successfully arranged a General meeting in Boishaki Restora, Uttara, Dhaka. The general meeting took place with the motto ‘In Unity: Strength – Success – Peace’.

The Initiative is taken by Under the supervision of Four Campus Alumonia is as follows: AAPEC, TECN Alomonai Association, Association of SARSTEC Alumni, The Ctecians.

The alumni and running student of Textile Engineering College Noakhali, Noakhali (TECN), Pabna Textile Engineering College, Pabna (PTEC), Chittagong Textile Engineering College, Chittagong (CTEC), Shahid Abdur Rab Sherniabat Textile Engineering College, Barisal (SARSTEC), Sheikh Kamal Textile Engineering College, Jhenaidah (SKTEC), Dr. Wazed Miah Textile Engineering College, Rangpur (DWMTEC) participated in this general meeting.

In this general meeting, the ATEB selected Zohir Uddin Mohammad Babor (1st batch- SARSTEC) Chief Coordinator as well as Md. Emdad (1st batch, CTEC) Saidul Karim Riaz (1st batch, TECN) Shadat Mintu (2nd batch, PTEC) as Campus Coordinator.

The main focus of ATEB is to get IEB (Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh) & ITET (Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologist) accreditation for All Govt Textile Engineering College. Already Four Textile Engineering College got ITET accreditation. And Most recently Alumni Association representative of Four Government Textile Engineering colleges met the Chairman, IEB Textile Engineering Division to get a discussion about IEB accreditation.

The main Objection of ATEB are as follows:

  1. To achieve IEB & ITET accreditation for all Textile Engineering College campus
  2. Linking Co-ordination with curriculum to the industry level knowledgeable among the textile engineering college Students’.
  3. and last and most important, To bring Unity in all govt textile engineering college in one common Platform

ATEB has been maintaining unity for Govt Textile Engineering College. Representatives and Coordinators from every campus are already working hard to establish Unity. In near future it will 16 Effective committee members will be declared soon.

Textile engineering colleges in the Bangladeshi RMG sector are doing great. The ATEB will add a new dimension of diversity to the Textile Engineering Colleges Campus. Textile Update 24 will always support the excellent steps taken by ATEB and wishing a successful journey.
